House Calls Maintenance Inc was formed in 2004 in order to meet the needs of the residential and commercial property maintenance and repairs market. It was a strongly held belief that the handyman and maintenance needs for Sarasota and Bradenton were not being met in a professional manner. Although there were a lot of trucks with handyman signs driving the streets, these were single person handyman services which usually did not have proper insurance, license and longevity. This did not provide potential customers the confidence that these services would do a professional job or even still be in business 1 year later.

Since 2004 House Calls has grown and expanded their service to include professional painting, kitchen and bath renovations, all manner of repair and remodeling services as well as Conklin Roofing Systems a cost effective roof coating solution to roof repairs and replacements. From commercial design and construction to residential plumbing leaks, House Calls is your “One Call Does it All” solution to the property manager or homeowner. Our philosophy and emphasis is on customer satisfaction, and we work exceptionally hard making sure that above anything else, our clients are satisfied.

Edward Stroop: Principal

As a Florida Certified General Contractor and a registered Architect (Texas), Edward Stroop has 26 years experience in the construction industry. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1981 with a degree in Architecture. Edward has managed, directed and been financially responsible for every aspect of the Construction and Architecture trades. Edward is a hands-on owner responsible not only for the business management of the company but oversees all construction aspects of the company.

Karen Gutoski: Maintenance and Construction Coordinator

After years of working in the construction industry, Karen spent time in the design and remodeling industry, learning the details of a completed project. She now manages Customer Service, scheduling and office duties for housecalls, maintaining a cohesive flow to the many steps to complete each project while focusing on Communication between Client and Company.

Lesa Stroop: Design Consultant

Lesa has worked in the construction field for over 15 years. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design. Through the university, she studied the form and function of architecture in Florence, Italy. Previously, she served as Project Manager for the various projects at Stroop Design & Construction.
